A vacuum-only robot skips the water tank, the mop pads and the washing, so there’s less to maintain and less to go wrong, and the money goes into suction and the brush instead. It suits homes that are mostly carpet, or anyone who mops by hand anyway. A self-empty dock is the upgrade worth paying for: without one, the robot’s small bin needs emptying after nearly every run.

A slim, cheap self-emptying vacuum that cleans carpet and pet hair surprisingly well. Good for vacuum-only homes, if you can find it in stock.
