Best Home Backup Power Stations Ranked

28 systems of 3,000 Wh and up that can back up a home's essential circuits, many expandable past 10 kWh.

Last updated: October 20, 2026

Home-backup stations are batteries you install more than carry. Most connect to a transfer switch or a smart panel, some deliver 240 V for a well pump or central air, and most take add-on batteries. Price per watt-hour is lowest here, so value and battery life carry the ranking; an electrician is usually needed to wire one into the house.

Prices were last checked October 20, 2026 and are subject to change; the price and availability shown by the retailer at the time of purchase apply.
