A plug-in inflator runs from the car’s 12 V accessory socket (the old cigarette lighter), so it never needs charging and can run as long as the engine does. They’re the cheapest inflators and usually move more air than a cordless one of the same size, which is what you want for a flat tire on the roadside. Check that the cord and hose reach the far rear tire of your vehicle. Some also plug into a wall outlet for use in the garage.
