Large inverter generators are built for home backup: with an L14-30 outlet and a transfer switch or inlet they can run a well pump, a furnace, a fridge and most of a house’s circuits, and many also power a 50 A RV. They burn a lot more fuel than the smaller sizes, so a long run time on a tank and a propane option matter more here.
