A small dehumidifier suits a bedroom, bathroom, closet or a small damp room. Most are sold as “22 pint” or “35 pint” under the old 2012 rating; on the current test they remove 15 to 24 pints a day. Small units cost more per pint than larger ones, so if the space is a basement, a medium or large unit usually does the job for little more money and runs less.
