Best Radiant and Infrared Space Heaters Ranked

3 quartz, carbon and halogen heaters with no fan.

Last updated: October 30, 2026

A radiant heater has a bare quartz, carbon or halogen element that glows and beams infrared at whatever is in front of it, the way sunlight warms you on a cold day. You feel it at once, even in a drafty garage or workshop where warm air would leak away. It does little for the rest of the room, and the element runs hot, so keep it well clear of anything that can burn.
