Best Dust Collectors for Woodworking Ranked

27 woodworking dust collectors, scored on price per cfm, airflow, suction, filtration and warranty.

Last updated: November 2, 2026

A dust collector pulls chips and dust from a table saw, planer or jointer through a 4 in or larger hose or duct and catches them in a bag or drum. These rankings compare what the makers publish on the same terms: how much air it moves for the money, how hard it pulls against a long hose, how fine a particle its filter stops and how long it’s covered.

Build is the first choice. A single-stage collector pulls everything through the impeller into a bag; it’s cheaper and smaller, but fine dust reaches the filter and suction drops as it clogs. A cyclone spins chips out into a drum before the air reaches the filter, so suction holds steadier and the filter needs cleaning less often, at a much higher price.

Filter is the second. A cloth bag rated at 5 or 30 micron catches chips but lets the finest dust, the part that stays in the air and in your lungs, back into the shop. A pleated canister rated at 1 or 2 micron, or a HEPA filter, keeps it in.

Power supply is the third. Collectors up to about 1.5 HP plug into a standard 120 V outlet; most 2 and 3 HP machines need a 240 V circuit.
