Best Desktop CO2 Laser Engravers Ranked

9 desktop CO2 laser engravers.

Last updated: November 2, 2026

A desktop CO2 laser uses a gas filled tube, usually 40 W to 80 W, inside a closed cabinet. It cuts clear and colored acrylic, engraves glass and cuts wood faster and with cleaner edges than a diode laser. The tradeoffs are size, weight and upkeep: most need water cooling, all need an exhaust hose to a window or a fume filter, and glass tubes wear out and need replacing after a few thousand hours.
