A DC TIG welder handles steel, stainless, chromoly and copper, but not aluminum. They cost well under AC/DC machines for the same output, and nearly all weld stick too. Every machine here has high-frequency start, which strikes the arc without touching the tungsten; stick welders that can lift-arc TIG with an add-on torch are ranked under stick.
