AC TIG cleans the oxide off aluminum as it welds, so an AC/DC machine is the one to buy for aluminum boats, trailers, intake parts and cookware repairs. Most also weld DC TIG and stick. AC balance and frequency controls, pulse and a foot pedal make thin aluminum much easier.
