A ductless recovery ventilator fits in a sleeve through an outside wall and ventilates one room with no ducts. Many use a ceramic core that stores heat while the fan blows outward, then gives it back when the fan reverses and draws air in, so they recover heat in alternating cycles and are often installed in pairs, one blowing in while the other blows out. They move far less air than a whole-house unit, so airflow is listed at top speed, and the fresh air delivered in recovery mode is lower.

- Vents TwinFresh Comfo RA1-50-2#1 of 5Full review
A low cost, very quiet way to bring fresh air into one bedroom or office without ducts. Buy two for a larger room, since one unit moves little air in recovery mode.

Amazon $779$77930 cfm-7.1 W - Vents TwinFresh Expert RW1-85-2 V.2#3 of 5Full review
The highest airflow TwinFresh for a large room, studio or tiny home. Expect to run it below top speed in a bedroom because of the noise.
Amazon $949$94950 cfm-9.7 W - Pioneer ECOasis 50#4 of 5Full review
An inexpensive through wall ERV with good filtration for one bedroom, best bought as a pair. Its specs are thinner and less consistent than the Vents TwinFresh units.
