A dual swing gate opener has two arms run from one control box, for a pair of gates that meet in the middle. Weight and length ratings are per leaf, so two 8 ft leaves make a 16 ft opening. A second arm needs a cable run under the driveway to the far post, and most kits can open just one leaf for people on foot.
