Pros
- Four panels per unit means a quarter of the inverters to mount and wire
- At about 7 lb, much lighter than the newer HMS four panel units
- Meets rapid shutdown and carries a 25 year warranty
Cons
- An 11.5 A input clips most modern 400 W+ panels
- Costs about the same as the newer HMS-2000, which puts out a third more and takes more current
- Monitoring needs a Hoymiles DTU gateway, sold separately
