Best RV Roof Vent Fans Ranked

21 14 by 14 inch RV roof vent fans, scored on price, airflow, speeds, features and warranty.

Last updated: November 2, 2026

An RV roof vent fan replaces the plain vent in a standard 14 by 14 inch roof opening with a lid and a 12 V fan in one unit. It pulls hot or stale air out of the cabin, and on most models pushes fresh air in, using far less power than a rooftop air conditioner. These rankings compare what the makers publish on the same terms: price, rated airflow, how many speeds it has, which automatic features it carries and how long it’s covered.

Rain protection is the first choice. An open lid fan has to close when rain starts, either by hand or with a rain sensor and motorized lid. A covered fan sits under a built-in rain cover, so it can stay open and running through a storm or while you drive, at the cost of a higher price and a taller profile on the roof.

Direction is the second. An exhaust only fan pushes air out; a reversible fan can also pull cool night air in, which makes a bigger difference to sleeping comfort than a few extra CFM.

Automation is the third. A thermostat, a motorized lid and a remote let the fan run itself while you’re away or in bed; a manual fan costs less but needs someone at the ceiling keypad.
