Best Single-Panel Microinverters Ranked

11 single-panel microinverters.

Last updated: November 2, 2026

A single-panel microinverter gives every panel its own inverter, so shade, dirt or a different roof angle on one panel affects only that panel, and a failure takes just one panel offline. It is the most flexible layout and the easiest to grow one panel at a time, but it costs more per watt than two- and four-panel units. Match the inverter’s continuous output to your panel’s wattage, since a much larger panel loses some output to clipping at midday.
