Best Direct Vent Gas Wall Heaters Ranked

14 direct vent gas wall heaters.

Last updated: November 2, 2026

A direct vent wall furnace is sealed from the room: it pulls combustion air from outside and sends the exhaust back out through a short pipe in the wall, so it can heat a bedroom or a whole small home without adding moisture or fumes to the air. It has to sit on an outside wall, costs more than a vent-free heater and often needs an outlet for its controls or blower, but it is allowed in places that ban vent-free heat.
