Best Battery Chainsaws Ranked

20 battery chainsaws.

Last updated: October 31, 2026

A battery chainsaw runs a brushless motor from the same battery pack as the maker’s other tools. It starts instantly, idles silently between cuts, and needs only bar oil and a sharp chain. Prices here are for kits with a battery and charger, so they compare fairly with gas saws. Run time depends on the battery size and the wood, so if you cut a lot, a second battery is worth budgeting for.
