A main line machine comes with a 1/2 in cable or thicker, or is a sectional machine built for one, which has the strength to clear toilet lines, 3 and 4 in mains and root clogs in sewer laterals. Drum machines in this group weigh far more once loaded with cable, and sectional machines split the cable into short lengths that are easier to carry. A few pro machines are sold without cable, for crews who already own it.
