A 12V fuel transfer pump runs off a vehicle battery through a long cable with clamps, so it suits a transfer tank in a pickup bed, a fuel trailer or a barrel out in the field. Most draw 15 to 30 amps and must rest after 15 or 30 minutes of running. A few 12/24V models run continuously but cost far more and need heavier wiring.
