A 15,000 BTU PTAC is the largest standard size, for an open living area, sunroom or room addition of about 550 to 750 sq ft. Some come only with a 5 kW heater, which needs a 30 A circuit, so check the plug and breaker before ordering. In a small room it will cycle too quickly to dry the air.
