Pros
- A rigid collection bin catches chips with less mess than a bag
- Overload protection with a reset switch saves the motor when a branch jams
- Fast 4500 RPM blade, quicker than most 15 A rivals
- Two year warranty from a long running US lawn tool maker
Cons
- Listings disagree on capacity (Home Depot says 1.25 in), so expect best results on thinner, dry wood
- Works best on dry branches; the maker warns green wood cuts less efficiently
- Needs a 12 gauge extension cord to run at full power
