Pros
  • Cuts branches up to 1 in thick, more than most 24 in battery trimmers
  • Brushless motor and 56 V battery give it power close to a small gas trimmer
  • A 5 year tool warranty covers it longer than most rivals
  • Battery works across the whole EGO mower, blower and trimmer lineup
Cons
  • No rotating handle, so vertical cuts on tall hedges are harder on the wrist
  • EGO does not publish weight or runtime, so you cannot compare them before buying
  • EGO does not sell it direct, and few US stores list the kit
