Best Electric Trailer Jacks Ranked

29 electric A-frame trailer jacks, scored on price per 1,000 lb, capacity, lift range, features and warranty.

Last updated: November 4, 2026

An electric trailer jack replaces the hand crank on an A-frame tongue with a 12 V motor and a push button, so you can hitch, unhitch and level a trailer without winding. These rankings cover the post-style electric jacks sold for A-frame RVs, travel trailers, and utility, cargo and horse trailers: Lippert, Quick Products, Husky, Kohree, VEVOR, Polestar and a long tail of importers. Drill-powered bolt-on jacks, hydraulic jacks and stabilizers are left out.

Capacity is the first choice. Pick a jack rated above your trailer’s loaded tongue weight, not its total weight. The ratings are not all the same kind of number. Some makers label theirs a dynamic load (the weight the motor lifts) and quote a larger static rating (the weight the jack holds still). Others print a single number with no label. Each page here shows the rating exactly as the maker states it, and the ranking scores that rating only, never the static figure.

Wiring is the second. A 7-way plug jack runs off the tow vehicle’s trailer socket and needs no wiring. A hardwired jack connects to the trailer battery and is the better choice for a trailer that sits away from its tow vehicle.

Mounting matters before any of it. Most of these jacks use the standard 2.25 in tube and mount through the existing holes on an A-frame. Check your jack’s mounting pattern and the drop leg’s clearance with the tailgate.
